In contrast, participants in the T2 and T3 IV groups had a significantly higher risks of all-cause mortality only compared with the T1 group (HR = 1.12, 95 % CI: 1.02–1.22, P = 0.014; HR = 1.19, 95 % CI: 1.08–1.30, P < 0.001, respectively), with an increasing trend across IV tertiles ( P for trend < 0.001), whereas IS showed no significant associations with either outcome (all P > 0.050).
