Yet the past years have witnessed a declining trend of morbidities along with an increasing trend of BPD around the globe. 15 17 18 In China, BPD prevalence varies widely (30% 19 vs 42.6% to 78.2% 20 ), depending on diagnostic criteria, with significant inter-centre and intra-centre variability, 20 further complicating the epidemiological assessment. 21 This variability is partly resulted from divergent approaches to defining BPD.
