In non-stripped, exposed skin, this difference was more pronounced, with a ΔITA° of + 11.76 ± 1.42 ( p < 0.001), suggesting the sunscreen provided highly significant protection against hyperpigmentation induced by UV/VL alone (Fig. 3 A, C).
