Pearson correlation analysis showed that African grassland GCSI was associated with T ( r = 0.725, p < 0.01), Tmax ( r = 0.606, p < 0.01), PDSI ( r = −0.572, p < 0.01), VPD ( r = 0.797, p < 0.01), livestock populations (( r = 0.851, p < 0.01)) showed highly significant correlation and non-significant correlation with Tmin ( r = 0.235, p = 0.319) and P ( r = 0.136, p = 0.567).
