These findings suggest that donor kidneys with AKI can be used when serial serum creatinine levels exhibit a decreasing trend, as such kidneys demonstrate a graft failure rate comparable to that of no-AKI kidneys and donors’ kidneys with stage 1 and stage 2 AKI can be used in stable- or increasing-creatinine trend as well.
