While this construct is theoretically and practically significant, other social factors may also moderate the relationship between sport participants and social behaviours, For instance, autonomy supportive or caring climates, which have been linked with prosocial and antisocial behaviour in adolescents in sport settings (e.g., Cheon et al. 2023 ; Gano‐Overway et al. 2009 ), may also play a moderating role in these relationships that warrant future investigation.
