Narrow-band imaging (NBI) may help visualise endobronchial abnormalities, but data are inconsistent: a small randomised controlled trial (RCT) found no improvement in granuloma yield over white-light bronchoscopy and a prospective series showed only a nonsignificant trend toward better lesion detection; contemporary reports emphasise that NBI's role in sarcoidosis remains to be defined [ 68 – 70 ].
