Further investigation of the prognostic significance of FABP7 and GAP43 as a function of age revealed a highly significant correlation between elevated FABP7 and GAP43 RNA levels and lower survival probability in patients ≤60 years of age, with patients ≤40 years of age being particularly susceptible to elevated levels of FABP7 ( Supplementary Figures 5 and 6 ).
