Interestingly, in this cohort of patients, a positive trend in mRFS (86.9 versus 32.6 months, P = 0.04) was noticed in patients who received a prolonged treatment with a multidrug regimen (e.g. anthracycline with cyclophosphamide or ifosfamide and vincristine followed by or alternated with etoposide and ifosfamide) compared with those treated with anthracycline and ifosfamide only.
