Other differences in practice-related survey items included a lower MLS for dermatologists compared to geriatricians (4.5 [SD 0.8] versus 5.0 [0.2] respectively, p adjusted = 0.0201) on the statement “Prior to prescribing medications to older adults, I review their medication list.” The MLS for this item was also lower for dermatologists’ responses compared to primary care physicians (4.5 [SD 0.8] versus 4.8 [0.5] respectively which showed a trend toward significance, p adjusted = 0.0783).
