After adjustment for age, sex, ethnicity, education level, and BMI in Model 2, the associations became more pronounced and statistically significant across all quartiles (Q2: OR = 0.67, 95% CI 0.54–0.84, P < 0.001; Q3: OR = 0.50, 95% CI 0.39–0.64, P < 0.0001; Q4: OR = 0.37, 95% CI 0.29–0.46, P < 0.0001), with a highly significant P for trend (< 0.0001).
