Interestingly, many factors that were highly significant in univariable analysis—such as Carbapenem-Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) status, a high APACHE II score, and altered consciousness (52.7% vs. 21.5% in survivors)—did not retain their independent predictive value in the final model.
