After NMP, kidney metabolites, measured with liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry, were analyzed by PCA (Figure 4 C and D) as a post hoc analysis, which demonstrated a marginally statistically significant difference in group clustering between the ALP and control groups (PCA, P = 0.056) based on the glycolytic metabolites glucose, glucose-6-phosphatse, pyruvate and lactate and a significant difference in group clustering in mitochondrial metabolites (PCA, P = 0.028) based on the metabolites of acetyl-CoA, citric acid/isocitrate, glutamate and lactate (see Figures S6–S9 , SDC , https://links.lww.com/TXD/A843 ).
