The results from the stratified analysis suggest that, after the onset of the pandemic, both Alberta and Ontario experienced a significant immediate decline in the monthly counts of ED visits (27.7% and 26.9%, respectively); however, the cross-province difference in these declines was not significantly significant ( P = .41).
