The results demonstrated that the NLR values showed a decreasing trend with the reduction of disease severity: severe group (2.001 ± 1.111) > non-severe group (0.8136 ± 0.5951) > healthy control group (0.6299 ± 0.4438), with significant differences among the three groups ( p < 0.0001) (Fig. 1 A).
