Analysis of the predicted metabolic pathways of the cecal microbiota showed a positive trend in the abundance of genes of some carbohydrate metabolism pathways (starch and sucrose metabolism, pyruvate metabolism) in the experimental group compared with the control, which is consistent with the data on the increase in the digestibility of nitrogen-free extractives in our study.
