If stimulus speeds exceed 8°/s, age-related differences may not be significant, as observed in Experiment (1) Conversely, at speeds slower than 6°/s, age-related differences may be larger than those observed in Experiment (2) Put simply, there may be a threshold between 6°/s and 8°/s at which the age-related differences becomes statistically significant or nonsignificant.
