In our study, although chest drain size showed an almost significant association with recurrence in the univariate analysis, this variable did not maintain significance in the multivariable model, suggesting that the observed association may be influenced by confounding factors related to patient characteristics or intraoperative findings rather than representing an independent predictor of recurrence.
