Dear Editor, We read with great interest the article by Yin et al [ 1 ], which analyzed a large cohort of 94 006 patients and concluded that accelerated biological aging, as measured by Phenotypic Age Acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel), is an independent risk factor for postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI), AKI severity, and prolonged length of stay, which is highly significant.
