The difference in PC2 between materials with the ‘AA’ genotype and those with the ‘GG’ genotype was highly significant ( P < 0.0001) ( Fig. 4 d), and in four trials, plants with the ‘AA’ genotype exhibited significantly greater PH compared to those with the ‘GG’ genotype ( Fig. 4 e–h).
