The results indicate the following: (1) globally, the CVD burden attributable to low vegetable intake has shown a decreasing trend; (2) mortality due to CVD attributable to insufficient vegetable consumption remains high in several low-SDI region; (3) in certain regions, the burden among individuals aged 20–54 years has continued to rise, whereas globally, adults aged ≥ 55 years still account for more than 80% of the total disease burden; (4) men under 70 years are primarily affected by IHD, whereas women are more likely to develop HHD; (5) in some regions, HHD has surpassed stroke and IHD to become the leading contributor to the CVD burden.
