Furthermore, the comparison of back-splicing and linear splicing in transcripts expressed in all samples ( n = 1685; table S8) showed a highly significant increase of circRNA:linear RNA ratio in hnRNP C–depleted cells ( Fig. 3D ), suggesting that hnRNP C modulates the balance between linear and circular splicing in these cells.
