We do not observe an obvious trend between gene expression magnitude and the presence of predicted off-target probes ( Figure 2C ), suggesting that off-target binding prediction alone does not explain the observed higher expression magnitude in Xenium compared to Visium, which may still be attributed to variation in detection efficiency, sequencing depth, and other factors.
