As for night-time, wakefulness during daytime, occupied the highest proportion (60.4 ± 1.8%) compared with the percentages of drowsiness, NREM sleep and REM sleep (9.4 ± 0.8%; 23.4 ± 1.5% and 6.7 ± 0.6%, respectively) and these differences were found to be highly significant (p < 0.0001; p < 0.0001; p < 0.0001) ( Fig 5C ).
