Based on the observed trend patterns, hospitals were classified into four groups: (1) hospitals with increasing trends in both DASC per 1,000 PD and DOT per 1,000 PD, and a stable or increasing DASC/DOT (Hospitals 1–5), (2) hospitals with increasing trends in DASC per 1,000 PD and DOT per 1,000 PD, but a decreasing trend in DASC/DOT (Hospital 6), (3) hospital with decreasing trends in DASC per 1,000 PD and DOT per 1,000 PD, but an increasing trend of DASC/DOT (Hospitals 7–9), and (4) a hospital with a decreasing trend in DASC per 1,000 PD, a slightly increasing (stable) trend in DOT per 1,000 PD, and a decreasing trend in DASC/DOT (Hospital 10).
