a nonsignificant trendp =0.131
When patients with the dark phenotype were compared to the combined group of patients with intermediate and fair phenotypes, there was a nonsignificant trend towards a decreased risk of death for the intermediate/fair phenotypes (HR 0.68, CI 0.42–1.12, p =0.131), but when adjusting for M category, the difference was significant (HR 0.57, CI 0.34–0.93, p =0.026).
