To calculate the prognostic score based on methylome analysis (“methylome score”), we adopted the following scoring system: 0.5 points: assigned to negative prognostic factors with a trend toward significance at Kaplan-Meier analysis (.1 > P ≥ .05); these parameters were not included in multivariable Cox analysis; 1 point: assigned to negative prognostic factors significant at Kaplan-Meier analysis (.05 > P ≥ .01), but not significant at multivariable Cox analysis. 2 points: assigned to negative prognostic factors highly significant at Kaplan-Meier analysis ( P < .01), but not significant at multivariable Cox analysis. 4 points: assigned to negative prognostic factors significant at multivariable Cox analysis.
