In an institution-clustered GEE model with robust standard errors, point estimates were directionally consistent with the primary model; stenosis at C3/4 remained significant (OR 2.13, 95% CI 1.38–3.29), and the association for posterior decompression and fusion was attenuated to borderline significance (OR 2.71, 95% CI 0.99–7.44) (Supplementary Table S2).
