In multivariate analysis including variables with P<0.10 (cortisol and gender), high cortisol showed a marginally significant association with shorter PFS (HR = 1.64, 95% CI: 1.00–2.69, P = 0.050), and female gender remained an independent risk factor (HR = 1.59, 95% CI: 1.01–2.49, P = 0.044; Table 4 ).
