Statistical analysis revealed a highly significant decrease in germination rate (35.3%—61.3%), germination potential (35.3%—61.3%), and germination index (14.6—27.2) while removal of the upper region of the corolla during the budding stage, initial flowering stage, and peak flowering stage, compared to the control group (germination rate: 89.3–92.7%; germination potential: 72.7–90.0%; germination index: 34.4–40.8) (Supplementary Table 1).
