In the follow-up survey, the scores of the control groups are significantly different between baseline and follow-up for girls, but not for boys (girls’ difference = 3.56%, p = 0.00; boys’ difference = 0.83%, p = 0.26), suggesting that girls acquire knowledge over time regardless of being in the intervention group or not, although the gain is not as significant as when they are in the intervention group.
