We considered a tau-b coefficient of greater than 0.33 to be practically significant, based on the large effect size threshold of 0.5 for Pearson’s r and applying Gilpin’s method of transforming tau-b to r . 17 With 36 tests at CT/ST1 and 33 at CCT level (one for each specialty group/ethnicity group combination), p -values of <0.0014 and <0.0016 would be required for statistical significance, using the Dunn–Sidak correction for multiple comparisons.
