The most pronounced cytoprotective effect was observed in groups receiving combined treatment with CNP and PM; both CNP doses administered alongside a low dose of PM led to a highly significant reduction in Caspase-3 and Bax expression and a significant enhancement of Bcl-2 levels compared to all monotherapy groups ( P < 0.001) ( Fig. 5 ).
