However, socioeconomic development and cultural shifts, including having fewer children, later childbirth, and shorter breastfeeding durations, have increased breast cancer risk in Asia.[ 1 ] The incidence and mortality rate of this disease have had an increasing trend in Iran.[ 2 ] Analysis of Iranian cancer registry data from 2008 to 2016 estimated a 63% increase in breast cancer cases until 2025, reaching 25,013 diagnoses.
