Eight-week-old C57BL/6J mice were initially subjected to TCDF exposure for 8 weeks, and 4 mice of each group were sacrificed to evaluate the obesogenic effect; the results indicated that TCDF had no significant effects on body weight, liver, and adipose tissues ( Figure B–G). With continued exposure for another 8 weeks, mice exposed to 3 μg/kg TCDF showed a significant increase in random body weight ( Figure B) at the 16th week. Meanwhile, an increasing trend of fasted body weight was observed both at 0.3 and 3 μg/kg ( p = 0.06) ( Figure C).
