The findings demonstrated significantly elevated levels of cortisol, IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α in children with ECC compared to controls, whereas sIgA showed a decreasing trend, supporting the hypothesis that ECC involves complex interactions between stress physiology, immunity, and inflammatory processes.
