a trend toward significancep = 0.053
In mixed-effects models accounting for within-subject correlation between eyes (random intercept for participant; fixed effects for age and eye), chronological age was significantly associated with density of main CNFs (β = −0.020 per year, 95% CI −0.038 to −0.002; p = 0.032), while the association with total length of main CNFs showed a trend toward significance (β = −0.216 per year, 95% CI −0.435 to 0.003; p = 0.053) ( Table A3 ).
