a positive trendp = 0.16
Despite a positive trend emerging, RTL at recruitment did not significantly predict average seasonal reproductive output (RTL at recruitment: β ± SE = 1.94 ± 1.38, t 75.93 = 1.40, p = 0.16; Sex (female): β ± SE = −0.99 ± 0.55, t 74.97 = −1.79, p = 0.07), suggesting that its association with LRS is mainly driven by lifespan. 3.3 Telomere Length and Expression of Plumage Ornaments The interaction between sex and tail length showed a statistically significant effect on RTL (Table 3 , Figure 4 ), indicating that the relationship between tail length and RTL differed between males and females.
