As in previous cohorts, there was a highly significant increase in brain weight relative to body weight in Nf1 +/- mice compared to +/+ controls (Fig. 4G : main effects – Genotype: p < 0.001; Sex: p < 0.001).

Across behaviours, we found no significant sex effects, however it is interesting to note that the Genotype effect in the sociability index analysis was accompanied by a statistical trend for a Genotype x Sex interaction, and visual examination of the data confirms that the effect is mainly driven by a difference in male +/- animals.
