Our study also revealed that both the systolic and diastolic pulmonary artery pressures, which were significantly elevated after the induction of acute lung injury, experienced a statistically highly significant fall during ILA operation with the 100% O 2 gas flow of 2 l/minute when compared with ILA operation without this sweep gas flow (Figure 6 ).
