There was a decreasing trend in annual total hospital admission until year 2002, while annual asthma admission rate remained fairly constant over these 6 years ( Fig. 2 ), resulting in an increasing contribution of asthma admission to total hospital admission ( P < 0.001) ( Fig. 3 ).
