Many of the neoplasms in female rats were mammary gland. There was hydropic change, fatty change, and focal centrolobular necrosis in the liver and hemo- siderin in the spleen of methoxychlor-treated rats. There was an increased incidence of neoplasms in male rats ingesting methoxychlor; however, the data given are incomplete and conclusions cannot be made concerning the effects of methoxychlor. Comments BALB/c strain male mice ingesting methoxy- chlor developed a highly significant incidence of interstitial cell carcinomas of the testes.
