Some of the same adverse health effects have also been observed among farmers' fami- lies and the general population living in agri- cultural areas (1,2,4-7), although specific exposures were not evaluated in most studies. Farm families and rural residents may be exposed to agricultural pesticides because their residences are adjacent to agricultural land and this type of indirect exposure to pesticides may be significant.
