Through a series of stringent searches, we identified a highly significant (within 0.041 percentile) D-domain in amino acids 179-193 ( Fig. 2A ), suggesting that the Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK MAPK signaling cascade might be responsible for cyclin D1 phosphorylation.
