The only exception to this generalisation applies to specific activity of ICDH in the thyrotoxic samples which, though raised, did not reach statistically significant levels; this was precisely the pattern seen in the first series also. The enzyme activities, when measured relative to the DNA content of the tissue, showed minor differences none of which was significant, though the raised PGDH content of thyrotoxic tissue came close to significance at the 5% level (t = 2 18).
