Although there was no difference between the three BCR/ABL oncogenes in induction of a CML-like disease in recipients of transduced marrow from 5-FU–treated donors, there was a highly significant difference in survival of recipients of P190-transduced marrow compared with recipients of P210- and P230-transduced marrow when donors were not pretreated with 5-FU.
