In studies with triti- ated ouabain, Hoffman (1969) found about 20% reduction in the ouabain bound when sodium was replaced by choline in a K-free medium; though this might not be significant, it should be stressed that those experiments were not performed to study the rate of binding but total binding, and only one point at 30 min was considered.
