In this model, the OR for having a non-HIV-associated condition listed on the death certificate in 2004 compared to 1999 was 1.6 (95%CI = 1.48,1.72; p-value<0.001) for the HIV group, and 1.19 (95%CI = 1.14,1.23; p-value<0.001) for the non-HIV group and ( Table 1 ); the interaction with year as a categorical variable was also highly significant (p-value<0.001).
