Nine GO categories excluding gametogenesis appeared to be novel, indicating that highly significant enrichments of transcripts involved in DNA metabolism (GO:6259; 6325; 6323; 6281), chromosome organization and biogenesis (GO:51276; 7001), sex differentiation (GO: 7548), and response to endogenous stimulus (GO:9719; 6974) occurred after the extraction of 149 transcripts from the NOA-related target gene list ( Figure 4 ).
