Univariate analysis revealed that ECOG PS 2, >2 sites of metastasis, albumin <35 g day −1 , LDH>UNL, WCC >10 500 mm −3 , haemoglobin <12 g dl −1 , platelets >400 000 mm −3 , among other factors, were highly significant negative prognosticators for OS.
